Trollocs
- Trollocs are almost as fast as a horse.
- Omnivorous, but prefer meat - animal, human or even Trolloc.
- Trollocs do not wear helmets.
- Mr. Sweet please take note.
- Only males fight and hunt.
- The females are cloistered as breeding machines, which suits them fine - they enjoy being pregnant.
- The known tribes are....
- Which begs the question, are there unknown tribes ?
Myrddraal
- Names are always in the Trolloc tongue.
- Mirrors reflect nothing but a misty form.
- Given the other Vampire connections, I would have expected this one to be part of the Draghkar profile.
- There only known weakness is a fear of running water.
- Myrddraals could link with a number of Trollocs completely taking over their minds to create an effective highly-disciplined fighting force.
- Fists sized between one and two hundred Trollocs commanded by a Fade.
- As far as is known, all Fades are male and are sterile.
- They have no sense of humour and prefer a comparatively solitary existence.
- OTOH, to quote from chapter 39 of book three where a fade is questioning the people who captured three accepted but claimed they were full sisters. " 'Three Aes Sedai' the Halfman hissed, its amusement sounding like dead things powdering to dust 'and one of them carried this'."
- Fadeblades do wear out after a time and must be replaced.
- I don't understand the need to use human souls in the Fadeblades. What's so special about them? AFAIK, besides the blue sparks, the only nice thing about those swords is that they kill those they touch. But surely any common-or-garden poison found in the Blight could do as much? Does the Fadeblade have some other nifty property?
Draghkar
- Does not fight at all well.
- Those it kills have no marks upon their bodies, but they are as cold when they fall as if they had been dead for several days.
- They experience some difficulty in sunlight.
Darkhounds
- Darker than the night and as large as ponies.
- Voice in full cry sounds much like that of a wolf.
- Created as guard beasts.
- Only single packs ( of ten or twelve ) are used, as they tend to prey on each other.
- According to legend...
- Rain could keep the Wild Hunt out of the night.
- It was thought particularly dangerous to meet them at a crossroads, just after dark, or just before sunrise.
- They will not cross flowing water.
- Since the Breaking, and the loss of Age of Legends technology, only the surest with bow or sword has had any chance of killing them, yet this may no longer be enough.
- A new breed of Darkhound has been reported, one that can apparently only be slain with the One Power.
